The hunt for the most suitable set of golf clubs isn't simple. One explanation it's so hard to find golf clubs is that there are so many possibilities. Golfing news is filled with reviews of the newest golf club designs and components, and they each come with a promise to make every new player a pro. Obtaining the right set of golf clubs can be essential to your personal performance on the golf course. The right set of golf clubs can bestow you with the self-confidence and the ability to perform as well as you are able.

Novice golfers who are searching for a suitable set of golf clubs should consider purchasing good-quality clubs on the resale market instead of settling for cheap new clubs. It would additionally be advisable to seek recommendations from a golf pro. However, even after you have gotten advice and considered all the golf club periodicals, there are a variety of personal matters to consider. An individuals size, strength, shape and style of play should be taken into account when looking for golf clubs.

The standard set of golf clubs includes irons, woods and a putter. Irons are designated with numbers from two up to nine. The faces of the irons are angled to provide lift. The number two iron has a lift angle of 18°, which is increased by four degrees for each higher numbered iron. As the numbers increase, the golf clubs get shorter; which means, the shaft of a two iron is longer than the shaft of a nine iron. Woods are numbered from one up to five. The general rule is that lower numbered clubs hit the ball farther, but at a lower trajectory. In addition to hitting the ball higher, higher numbered clubs also give the ball more backspin.

Let us now focus in on the irons. Traditional irons have the club's weight concentrated behind the head. This design is responsible for what is called the sweet spot, the best place on the club to make contact with the ball. Traditional irons are the choice of golf professionals because they are more accurate and easier to control. But, if you don't strike the golf ball exactly on the sweet spot, these golf clubs are simply unforgiving.

Nowadays, it is also possible to buy irons with a peripheral weight design. They are also known as game improvement golf clubs. The weight is spread evenly around the edges, which is like enlarging the sweet spot of the golf club. Cavity-backed golf clubs are much more forgiving. They are chiefly intended for beginners or erratic newcomers. Nevertheless cavity-backed clubs can also be found on the pro golf circuits too. So if this type really handles well for you, don't let the designation "game improvement" club keep you off using it.

You may be aware that Woods are called that because they were traditionally made from wood. Woods are used for initial drives or for long fairway shots. Traditional wooden drivers are often preferred by some golf pros. Unfortunately, much like conventional irons, such woods are merciless if your contact with the ball isn't perfect. This explains why woods assembled with metal now rule amateur golf. Nowadays, woods are manufactured with hollow shells that offer better distribution of weight. The only disadvantage of the more recent designs is that it may be harder to shape or control the ball. Graphite heads offer the highest performance, but also are the most high priced.

How much the shafts flex or bend differs among golf clubs from soft to stiff. Usually, stronger players who are better at the game should select stiffer shafts. The majority of golf club shafts are made out of graphite or steel.

A Putter is , for many players, the most personal item in the bag of golf clubs. Putters range from the plain to custom built creations. If you obtain a complete set of golf clubs, it will probably include some sort of putter. Eventually, you'll want to trade in this standard putter for a design that's more suitable to your style of play. Shop around as this is something that may take some deliberation. Nevertheless after playing a few rounds and spending time on the greens, you should discover one that is your ideal.

Putting yips are defined as being jerks or tremors that appear during putting. They appear because the player is not comfortable with the game or the putt he has to make. The nervousness in making a shot indicates most of the time the lack of practice and sometimes the player’s level of stress. These yips can be lessened with the help of a golf training aid. There are several golf aids that let you improve your putting and it is only a matter of choosing which one you want to get.

Putting yips also manifest themselves as freezing while putting. Researchers believe that they are the result of both psychological and physical causes. It also appears that yips are more frequent at the committed players because of their posture and the grip style they use. The players who make their body stay in an atypical posture are more prone to get yips. Even though they might think it is ok to stay in an atypical posture for a while, the body gets tired and responds through shaking, freezing of the body and jerks. Since having a straight stroke is very important in a putting, having yips can de devastating for a player. However if you have yips and do not try to do anything about them, your scores will not be the one you are used to having.

A golf training aid can help you improve your putt and can let you learn how to hit a smooth stroke. This can also help you reduce your yips or at least let you find ways to avoid it or trick it. Some golf players and researchers believe that yips depend on the kind of putt you are making, but it usually manifests during a long putt. Also it seems that having at least two putters of different weights can lower your yips. Thus getting a putter for long putts and one for short putts can be a way of making your stroke smooth and also to beat the distance problem. It goes without saying that when you practice you should use all the putters you have and practice accordingly with each one. Because putting is such an important part of the golf game and keeping in mind that usually you can only select 14 clubs during a golf game, having two putters is not a bad idea. Even if you have two different putters you do not always have to take both of them, but getting comfortable with using them is very important so use them with an additional golf training aid.

It is usually that pressure situations worsen the yips. This is why it is very important to try and stay calm during a game and play for the sake of playing rather than for the sake of winning, especially if you are playing with your friends or at an amateur level. The training aid can help you in case you are a tensed person and get under pressure easily. By improving your putting and getting more comfortable with your grip and stroke, when you are out on the course you will feel more relaxed, because you know your putting has improved. Thus the chances of your body freezing before you have to do an important putt can be minimized and instead of having to concentrate on keeping your body steady you can concentrate on hitting the ball and sending it in the hole.

Are you aware of the surest way to pick out the most appropriate set of golf clubs? Given the huge selection of golf clubs available now, making a choice can be hard. There are new developments in materials and design almost every day, and they all guarantee to make every new player a pro. Obtaining the most appropriate set of golf clubs is likely to be critical to your best performance on the golf course. The most appropriate set of golf clubs can provide you with the confidence and the capability to perform at the top of your game.

Beginners who are looking for a starter set of golf clubs ought to consider purchasing good-quality clubs on the second hand market instead of settling for cheap new clubs. It would also be advisable to get recommendations from a golf pro. But, even after you have gotten advice and studied all the golf club reviews, there are also some other issues to consider. Therfore, if this design really works well for you, don't let the designation "game improvement" club frighten you away.

People like us, irrespective of what country they're golfing in, feel the pressure to improve their putt.

This is partly brought on by the impression we have that pro golfers can achieve seemingly impossible, near miraculous, putts effortlessly. (Completely not right, obviously. Pro golfers are better than us, but they also miss plenty of putts!)

And also due to the way the green focuses our attention. I mean, most of us hardly ever condemn ourselves when what we hoped would be a massive drive falls short by four yards. Yet see how we kick ourselves when we don't get the putt.

Turn your quiet disappointment into a simple set of positive practice routines because you can improve your putt.

Get the use of a flat (very flat) green where you can practice your putting without having to also practice correcting for break and slope at the same time. (This simple reduction of your circumstances down to the one thing you want to practice is a key to succeeding.)

Now the crucial element -- align the head of your putter square with your line.

But this is the simple thing that causes most putting errors. So don't be lulled into dismissing my recommendation too quickly.

Do this for weeks. Until you can consistently put the ball in the hole on your practice green.

As you hit the ball square on, you'll see your confidence levels rise. And the effect of that on your score card will be obvious to the people you play with.

Finding the perfect putter for the way you play golf can be the most difficult club to select. This is because, unlike your woods and irons, there is no set formula for fitting most people to the correct putter. Instead, the only way to find the right putter for you is through your own search efforts.

And the frustrating part is that even if you find a putter that seems to work very well for you for quite some time, it may not always work that well, and you may have to replace it with a different style putter at some point. It's just one of the little frustrating parts of the game of golf for some people. So what should you be looking for when shopping for a golf putter?

Perhaps the first thing to consider is the material that is used for the putter head itself. More so than any other golf club in your bag, your putter relies on feel to be used successfully. So the kind of material that is used for the putter head can be important. Unfortunately, there's almost no end to the different kinds of material that are used for putter heads including stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum and lots more. The only way to see how the putter head material transmits feel is to try them all out yourself. Lighter materials also tend to contribute to more hand action in the stroke, whereas heavier putter heads tend to slow down the stroke and help it remain more consistent.

The shape of your putter head can also be important. The two main shapes that are in use these days are the blade and the mallet. A blade putter looks like a miniature hockey stick, and the blade can vary from being solid to a more cavity-back design. Again, which style works best for you can only be determined by putting them both to use.

Another consideration with putters is how the shaft connects to the putter head. Some connect in the center of the putter head, whereas others connects at the heel or back of the putter instead. This is another area where there is no right or wrong choice that can be made. It simply depends on which seems to be most comfortable to you as you use it.

No discussion of putters can be complete without also mentioning the longer golf putters that have come into popular use in recent years. Generally, there are two main sizes of these longer putters. One is referred to as the belly putter, and the other is often called a broomstick putter.

Belly putters are usually around 40 in. or so in length and they are designed to be tucked into the body around the abdomen area as an anchor to help stabilize the putter throughout the stroke. This usually helps produce a more consistent putting stroke and eliminates a lot of extra hand movement.

Long putters are made to tuck into the chest area instead, allowing the golfer to take a more upright stance when putting. The hands are usually separated on the putter with one being at the top and the other about midway down the shaft. This kind of putter produces a true are in the swing and if used correctly can encourage a more consistent putting stroke.

It should be obvious that when it comes to golf putters there are plenty of choices that can be made, and the best putter for you is the one that you feel most comfortable with and gives you the best results, whichever one that may be.

Clone golf putters are ideal for golf enthusiasts who are searching for quality clubs but at a fraction of the price of full price, name brand, authentic cousins. There is no shortage of knock off putters that are of high quality, both in terms of performance and durability, instead it is just working out which clone putters to look for and where to find clone golf putters that is the key to success.

Clone golf putters are a great way to get the best bang for your buck without jeopardizing the quality of your putters or indeed the quality of your golf game. These days knock off putters are very sophisticated putters manufactured using the same materials and technology as is used in the manufacture of some of the more popular brands such as Titleist, Taylormade, Ping and Callaway. These are just a few examples of popular brands of putters which compare directly to clone golf putters in terms of quality and performance.

Clone golf putters are made from the same high-quality materials that pro line clubs are, and often in the same foundries and most people would be hard pressed to tell the difference. And naturally, if you pay a little extra to have your knock off putters customized for you, then you might even have a better game that one of your peers who is carrying around a pricier, non customized name brand on course. The best thing about this is that your playing partners won't even consider you a threat until of course, you start sinking more putts than they do because your putter actually fits you.

Ultimately though knock off putters have one clear advantage - clone golf putters are much more affordable then their name brand counterparts. So how can they do this? It's simple. Because clone golf companies do not have large advertising campaigns, high-cost event sponsorships of tournaments and players, and extensive marketing budgets, clone manufacturers do not need to inflate their prices on the golf clubs. They do their best to give the players a great product at an even better price.

When searching for clone golf putters it is best to use an internet site that offers the most useful benefits. In particular, you want to ensure that they offer full refunds and returns on golf clubs and clone putters and other accessories you might purchase from them. Also look for companies that offer a custom fitting section that will help you pick the perfect putter for your game. Some companies even offer free delivery or free insurance for purchases over a certain value. The key to buying clone putters is to do your homework and shop around - you won't be disappointed.

Any female golfer who has spent some time on the green knows she needs a Ladies Putter, designed for female strengths. A Ladies Putter allows a lady golfer to plant the ball in the cup. It isn't a dainty thing. It is made for a woman golfer's particlar needs. It is a serious piece of hardware, a tool rather than an accoutrement.

Women golfers tired of being condescended to demand the best equipment at an affordable price. When they finally reach journey's end down the fairway, they need to know they have the best tool in their kit, or in this case, the best club in their bag, to get the job done. to sink the shot. They don't want to overpay for marketing, they just want a reliable putter.

This putter is engineered to sink the shot. The face is precision flat according to strict manufacturing standards. The materials are lightweight, not too heavy for the wrists or forearms to maneuver at a split second before the putter hits the ball. This is a forgiving putter, an extension of the arms, a tool that will guide a putt exactly where it is meant to go. It is utilitarian, but it is also streamlined. There is no extra fancy-shmancy gew-gaws that tell the audience this is a "Ladies Putter." It's not pink. It's just a lightweight putter designed to get the job done under par. It will add to your game rather than attract attention. The admiration is best deserved for your ability to make a winning putt, not your putter. If you've got this putter in reserve, your ability will be self-evident.

A Ladies Putter isn't anything to be ashamed of. Women golfers play a game that is both different from and the same as the mens'. With this tool in your kit, you can beat the boys. In fact, with this club in your bag it will be hard for a male golfer to beat you once you've both reached the green. All things being equal, this putter, because is it is engineered and manufactured for women, will be your a secret weapon that nobody suspects.

"The man who can putt can play anybody." Tom Sayers

This shows the importance of putting to the game of golf.

Golfing success demands the composite of a great player and a great putter.

Putting on the green is an art in itself. Putting is an art to be cultivated and acquired through your own individuality or personality. These personal traits may include the power of your imagination, the finesse of your touch, and the accuracy of your judgment. Of course, all these qualities may seem too abstract to most golfers, but, after all, golf is an intellectual and mental game, isn't it?

A good putter requires excellence in accuracy and strength, and, above all, an abounding confidence to pull it through during the last few moments of the game.

The art of putting requires four basic elements in a putter.

First of all, a good putter must have the capability to assess the green. A good putter must have the vivid imagination and sharp eyesight requisite in a good survey of the green to predetermine the amount of break on side-hill putts, thereby instrumental in determining the "line" of the putt. A good putter must be able to analyze the unique characteristics of a green, such as the speed of the green - fast, hard, slow or soft, and to determine the contour of the green - sloping one way or the other. An acute awareness of the particular characteristics of the green may help you decide on the strategy before you even step on the first tee.

Second, a good putter must be able to gauge the distance consistently, especially on long putts. Your accurate judgment may help you strike a "specialized" stroke.

Third, a good putter must be able to control the stroke and the placement of the ball. A good putter must putt the ball consistently and confidently, such that the ball is put within an inch or two of the targeted spot. Such confidence is often reflected in the positive attitude, the targeted concentration, and relaxed mentality of the putter.

A good artist relies on his or her tools, and this is also true of a good putter, who needs to experiment different equipment before "feeling good" on one that will inspire confidence in delivering the perfect putt.

Fourth, a good putter must know how to choose his or her equipment. The art of choosing the right size of the equipment depends on the physique, height, and arm length of the individual; while the choice of the weight of the equipment is contingent on the individual's preference for power deliverance or delicacy of touch. A heavier equipment may give you more power at the expense of being more difficult to exercise control on a slick green. You must learn the art of arriving at a compromise between power and touch in your choice of your equipment, such that your equipment may become an asset, not a liability, in your putting.

Putting green is an art because there are no hard and fast rules regarding how one should deliver the perfect putt. Putting is an art because it is a reflection of the philosophy of the putter. As such, most golfers have come to believe that "putters are born, not made." No matter what, putting is an art that can be improved on simply by changing the way you think about putting.

Mastering the short game in golf is a key to lowering your scores. Without a doubt, if you can master your putting game, you can dramatically cut strokes off your game.

Good putting starts with your grip. You need to pick a grip that is comfortable for you and allows you to easily control your putter. The reverse overlapping grip is the most widely used.

The index finger on your left hand overlaps the little finger of your right hand. Many golfers prefer the index finger to overlap more than one finger.

The thumbs are straight down the front of the shaft. Your hands should be at the top of the club, or close to it. Gripping too low on the shaft is not recommended because of the longer distance the club would have to be swung for the longer putts.

Your feet should be about shoulder width apart. Stand close to the ball with your arms close to your body and your eyes directly above the ball. Bend your knees slightly and bend your elbows.

The swing should be a relaxed swing. Your arms and your hands move together through the ball in a perpendicular motion. You want to stroke the ball with the middle of the putter head. Keep your eyes on the ball at all times and you should see the putter hit the ball. Do not look up to follow the flight until you have completed your swing.

Adjust the length of the swing according to the distance of the putt. The swing mechanics remain the same for short putts and for long putts. The length of the swing is all that changes.

When lining up the putt, the putter head should be square to the target. If you anticipate a break to the right, for instance, your intended target will be above the hole. How far above the hole you aim depends on the break of the green. Your putter head will not be square to the hole but will be square to the point above the hole where you expect the break to occur.

You want to practice putting before you start your round. Too many golfers hit the practice green and begin trying to drop long putts. It will be to your advantage to start your practice putts close to the hole. Get this stroke down until you are comfortable and the ball is dropping consistently.

Now begin to move away from the hole and continue putting. As you get more comfortable, begin to move farther away. For most weekend golfers, the objective is to get long putts as close as possible to the hole to make the putt more manageable. If you can consistently make putts from a short to midrange distance, you will easily lower your golf scores.
